Completed Event: A Look Back
On 31 May 2025, the project successfully hosted the workshop “Green Energetic Neighbourhood – Energy Sustainability”, bringing together local stakeholders, experts, and community members to explore practical strategies for building more energy-resilient neighbourhoods.

Upcoming Event: Info Day in Aardehuizen
The journey continues with the upcoming event “Info Day: Energy Community Aardehuizen”, scheduled for 28 June 2025.
This event will provide a unique opportunity to learn from one of Europe’s pioneering eco-villages. Participants will gain first-hand insights into the formation, operation, and impact of a grassroots energy community. Furthermore, this unique energy community recently took a major step forward with the integration of a neighbourhood battery system. This initiative, supported by the SERENE aims to enhance local energy self-sufficiency and reduce reliance on the public grid.
